Garden City Plastics was established in 1975 by Len and Austral Wilson at Heatherton, Victoria, Australia on the site of the Wilson Indoor Nursery.
The plastics container manufacturing plant was born out of the need to have a reliable source of containers that could be designed for horticultural purposes, competitively priced - and available when required. The Wilsons closed down their nursery and concentrated their efforts into Garden City Plastics.
The horticultural industry was then asked to be more environmentally sensitive. GCP responded to the call and established a plastic recycling plant at Braeside in Victoria to meet these needs. Most GCP black plastic containers are made from recycled plastic.
In 1992 GCP purchased a two hectare factory and warehouse situated at Monbulk, Victoria for production of injection moulded plastic pots.
We supply to businesses throughout Australia and are continuing to expand our export markets. We are dedicated to providing excellent service, quality products and the latest in technology at the most competitive prices.
